Feedback is about future behavior.
Managers really fear giving feedback. We’re, I don’t know, afraid to confront our people. We worry about pushback and [if] they defend themselves. We don’t know how to do it. We’re afraid we’re gonna be clumsy and we’re gonna fumble through it. But folks, all of those reasons can be left alone without a moment of concern because feedback isn’t about confronting . . . feedback is about future behavior, which means all you’re doing is paying for insurance on future behavior.

Do something, tell someone.
Back to what I said before, do something, tell someone. If we’re not out there beating our own drum, nobody will do it for us. And it’s also about how you tell the stories. It’s not “I’ll check the knowledge team out.” It’s more positioning other people and trying to find ways to make others shine is what kind of what I’m really quite interested in.
